The Jane Roberts Papers are housed in Manuscripts and Archives at the Sterling Memorial Library at Yale University, New Haven, CT. The finding aid for the collection, as well as information about the visiting the library, can be found on their web site. Since 1998 I have been working with the Jane Roberts Papers as an independent researcher with the goal of having my work assist other researchers in the future. The main activities of my project are keying the material from the collection to computer, as well as verifying and gathering information. Over the years I have acquired a greater and greater appreciation of this collection. I am struck by the wisdom and courage shown by Jane and Rob in not only producing the Seth material, but in sharing their lives with us. This collection is not a dry treatise, but a living body of material. In the May 21, 1979, personal session Seth told them,"To some extent both of you, and by your own choices, have established your own laboratory of the mind, in which you live your lives and examine them at the same time. And in which you try to view any maladies and dissatisfactions by different standards, and in a light that requires more of you, so that you do not rely as others do upon the comforts of conventionalized knowledge in any field." My dream of our future includes a Jane Roberts Library. Although it has not manifested in physical reality and may not for many, many years, I am gathering material toward that ideal. Can you help? I am gathering additional information from people who knew, visited, or phoned Jane Roberts and/or Robert Butts, attended an ESP class, had a private session, or had any other experiences to share. Do you have any photographs, audio or video tapes, paintings, articles, book reviews, copies of correspondence, information, anecdotes, or just want to shar your impressions and experiences? Do you have a friend who is related to either Jane or Rob, or visited them? Are you aware of a book or article that mentions Jane or Rob? It is all important and I welcome your input.
